Please note: User Short Codes take priority over Dial Plan entries.
Disable Call Pick Up
Speed Dials created for internal extensions can also be used to pick up a call ringing on that extension, if
however a User on that extension, such as the MD of the company, does not want his/her calls picked up
the hash (#) can added to the beginning of the Telephone Number field.
Please note that users of a PCS 58x/57x/56x/55x will not see this hash (#) in their Settings.
Creating a Speed Dial for multiple Users
When the same Speed Dial(s) is required for multiple Users this can be entered via Manager Assist or via
the Users (Speed Dials) feature.
Via Manager Assist

In Manager Assist, select Configuration aids, and under the System section select Speed Dials.

From the Select what action... list box select Add New Speed Dial.

In the Extension Range: box enter the extension numbers of the Users to receive this new Speed
Dial(s), eg 2001, 2003, 2040-4047, 2053 and so on.

Ensure Create System Backup: is selected to create a back up of the system before these changes
are made.

If existing Speed Dials within the User's configuration form are to be deleted and replaced with this
new Speed Dial(s) tick Delete all existing speed dials from range:.

Within the New Number box enter the internal or external number to be dialled by this Speed Dial.

In the Short Code field enter the digits to be dialled to activate this speed dial, if required.

In the Description field enter the text to identify this Speed Dial.

Select Add Row and repeat steps 6-8 to add multiple Speed Dials.

When ready, select Add Speed Dials

A summary of the Speed Dials added will be displayed together with the name of the back up file
created, if relevant.
