session, and then close the Command-line window.

Use the Modem Configuration File to Configure a Target Modem

1)
OPTIONAL –
to save, upon execution of the FTP "put" command (see Step 3), the configuration
parameters of this file to a specified modem configuration slot (as you would by using the
CDM-625A Front Panel SELECT: Store/Ld ►Store screen).
Make sure that you are in the folder containing the Modem Configuration File
(config_file) created in Sect. U.2.1.
Use a text editor such as Windows Notepad to open the Modem Configuration File
(config_file).
Add, as the first line in the configuration file, "SAVE MGC TO SLOT #" without quotes
(where # is modem configuration slot 0 through 9), as per this example...
Save and close the Modem Configuration File. Continue to the next step.
2) Use Command-line to send a "PING" command to confirm proper connection and
communication between the User PC and the CDM-625A Target Modem:
Open a Command-line window...
For Windows 95 or Windows 98, type "command".
For any Windows OS versions later than Windows 98, type "cmd" or "command".
Alternately, from [Start], select All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.
You may optionally edit the Modem Configuration File to instruct the modem
SAVE MGC TO SLOT 6
MGC=0070.000...etc.
OGC=010x00xxx...etc.
DNI=100000000...etc.
etc...
This text string is case-sensitive. Be sure to specify an "Available"
configuration slot.
