Defines a macro for an interface range and then saves the macro in the running configuration.

Enter up to 16 characters for the macro name.
Enter the keywords interface range and one of the interfaces
— slot/port, port-channel, or VLAN number. Select the range of
interfaces for bulk configuration. You can enter up to six comma-
separated ranges. Spaces are not required between the commas.
Comma-separated ranges can include VLANs, port-channels, and
physical interfaces.
Slot/Port information must contain a space before and after the dash.
For example, interface range gigabitethernet 0/1 -
5 is valid; interface range gigabitethernet 0/1-5 is
not valid.

For a 1-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
GigabitEthernet followed by the slot/port information.

For a Port Channel interface, enter the keywords port-
channel followed by a number. For the C-Series and S-
Series, the range is 1 to 128. For the E-Series, the range is 1 to
255 for TeraScale and 1 to 512 for ExaScale.

For a SONET interface, enter the keyword sonet followed by
the slot/port information.
•
For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
TenGigabitEthernet followed by the slot/port
information.

For a 40-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
fortyGigE followed by the slot/port information.

For a VLAN, enter the keyword vlan followed by a number
from 1 to 4094.
