Example
The following example configures the frequency at which the software sends IGMP group-specific
query messages on port g5 to 20 seconds.
Console (config)# interface ethernet g5
Console (config-if)# ip igmp last-member-query-interval 20
ip igmp query-max-response-time
The ip igmp query-max-response-time interface configuration command configures the maximum
response time advertised in Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) queries. To restore the
default response time, use the no form of this command.
Default Configuration
The default frequency is 10 seconds.
Syntax
ip igmp query-max-response-time seconds [tenths-of-seconds]
no ip igmp query-max-response-time

seconds—The maximum response time, in seconds, advertised in Internet Group
Management Protocol (IGMP) queries. (Range: 0 - 25)

tenths-of-seconds—Additional tenths of seconds to add to the defined seconds.
(Range: 0 - 9)

This command has no default configuration.

User Guidelines
IGMP must be enabled before setting the response time.
If IGMP is disabled on an interface, the IGMP parameters on the interface return to the
default values.
