User Guidelines
To define an out-of-band IP address, use the out-of-band IP address format —oob/ip-address.
Example
The following example configures the source IP address used for communication with RADIUS
servers to 10.1.1.1.
Console (config)# radius-server source-ip 10.1.1.1

radius-server timeout

The radius-server timeout global configuration command sets the interval for which a router waits
for a server host to reply. To restore the default, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
radius-server timeout timeout
no radius-server timeout
timeout—Specifies the timeout value in seconds. (Range: 1 - 30)
Default Configuration
The default value is 3 seconds.

There are no user guidelines for this command.
Example
The following example sets the interval for which a router waits for a server host to reply to
5 seconds.
Console (config)# radius-server timeout 5

radius-server deadtime

The radius-server deadtime global configuration command improves RADIUS response times
when servers are unavailable. The command is used to cause the unavailable servers to be skipped.
To reset the default value, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
radius-server deadtime deadtime
no radius-server deadtime
