Example
The following example defines a policer for classified traffic. When the average traffic rate exceeds
124000 bps or the normal burst size exceeds 96000 bps, the packet is dropped. The class is in a
policy map called "policy1".
Console (config)# policy-map policy1
Console (config-pmap)# class class1
Console (config-pmap-c)# police 124000 9600 exceed-action drop

police aggregate

The police aggregate policy-map class configuration mode command applies an aggregate policer
to multiple classes within the same policy map. To remove an existing aggregate policer from a
policy map, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
police aggregate aggregate-policer-name
no police aggregate
aggregate-policer-name—Specifies the name of an existing aggregate policer defined in
the qos aggregate-policer command.
Default Configuration
This command has no default configuration.
Command Mode
Policy-map Class Configuration mode
User Guidelines
An aggregate policer cannot be used across different policy maps or interfaces.
Example
The following example sets the aggregate meter "policer1" to a class-map. The class is in a policy
map called "policy1".
