The interface ip global configuration command enters the IP interface configuration mode.
Syntax
interface ip ip-address

ip-address—One of the device IP addresses.

The following example configures an IP interface and enters the IP interface configuration mode.

ip route
The ip route global configuration command establishes static IP routes. To remove static IP routes,
use the no form of this command.
Syntax
ip route prefix {mask | prefix-length} gateway [metric distance] [reject-route]
no ip route prefix mask [gateway]
prefix—The destination IP route prefix.

mask—The IP address network mask.

prefix-length—The number of bits that comprise the IP address prefix. The prefix length
must be preceded by a forward slash (/). (Range: 0 - 32)

gateway—IP address or IP alias of the next hop that can be used to reach that network.

metric distance—An administrative distance .(Range: 1 - 255)
