User Guidelines
When configuring an SNMPv1 or SNMPv2 notification recipient, a notification view for that
recipient is automatically generated for all the MIB.
When configuring an SNMPv1 notification recipient, the Inform option cannot be selected.
If a trap and inform are defined on the same target, and an inform was sent, the trap is not
sent.
To define an SNMP recipient on the out-of-band port, use the out-of-band IP address format
oob/ip-address.
Example
The following example enables SNMP traps for host 10.1.1.1 with community string
"management" using SNMPv2.
Console (config)# snmp-server host 10.1.1.1 management 2
