Chapter 15 Using Telset Administration to set the basic parameters

Configuring the initial parameters

Use the following procedures to configure the initial parameters for the BCM using Telset
Administration:

"To enter the keycodes"

"To configure the IP address"

"To configure the modem" on page 191
"To select the region" on page 191
"To select the telephony startup template and start DN" on page 192
"To initialize voice mail" on page 192
"To create Telset user accounts" on page 192
To enter the keycodes

Select Feature 9*8 from a two-line display telephone.

Enter the following user ID and password:
User ID: SETNNA
Password: CONFIG
The numerical values of the user ID and password are 738662 and 266344, respectively.

Press NEXT to scroll through the menu and select Feature Codes.

Press OK.

Press NEXT to scroll through the list and do one of the following:
a
If you want to enter keycodes to activate features, select Feature List.
Press SHOW to view the available features.
Use the soft keys to activate features for your system.
b If you want to modify existing keycodes, select Keycode.
Press SHOW to view the keycodes.
Use the soft keys to modify existing keycodes for your system.
Refer to the Keycode Installation Guide for details on how to retrieve and enter the keycodes
for your system.
To configure the IP address
1
Select Feature 9*8 from a two-line display telephone.

Enter the following user ID and password:
User ID: SETNNA
Password: CONFIG
The numerical values of the user ID and password are 738662 and 266344, respectively.
3
Press NEXT to scroll through the menu and select IP Address.
