When you add or edit a path (Chapter 7), or edit an ISDN port
(Chapter 6), one of the attributes available is the PPP profile. The
default PPP profile is Either; this allows you to use either the
Password Authentication Protocol (PAP) or Challenge Handshake
Authentication Protocol (CHAP).
Profiles allow you to:
Enable security measures such as the Password
Authentication Protocol (PAP) and the Challenge Handshake
Authentication Protocol (CHAP).
Take advantage of features such as Bandwidth Allocation
Control Protocol (BACP) and Multilink PPP (MPPP).
