Ethernet Paths

A path is made up of two variables, its type and its name. A path
type shows the protocol that is used to send information along the
path. Its name identifies the path in the lists.
In the table below, click on the path type for which you require
further assistance.

For information on IPSec paths, refer to Chapter 20.
The Ethernet Path (eth/lan01) is system generated and points to
the local LAN. There can only be one Ethernet path per Nautica
unit. Users can edit this path by using the following syntax:
[co] [mod] pa eth/lan01
where co takes the router into config mode (if required), mod is
the modify verb (Appendix A), pa moves you into the path
object, eth is the type of path (ethernet) and lan01 is the name
assigned to this path by the unit.
After it is modified, the unit moves into the path object and the
prompt reflects this:
path/eth/lan01#
Typing i at this prompt displays a list of attributes for the path.
