Where Can I Get a Packet Driver for My PC?

Appendix B-16
This example uploads the clam.bay file via a packet driver
configured to use interrupt 0x69.
If you want to use a packet driver under MS-DOS, you can obtain
one from the manufacturer of your Ethernet card, or visit the
Crynwr collection at http://www.crynwr.com and ftp://
ftp.crynwr.com/drivers.
Caution:
Packet drivers downloaded from public domain
resources are not Bay Networks products. Bay Networks is not
responsible for the operation of these drivers and it is up to the
system administrator to ensure that adequate virus protection is
provided on their PC before downloading and running these
files.
For Windows 95, the packet driver recommended is Dan
Lanciani's plug-and-play Virtual Packet Driver for Windows 95,
which uses the Microsoft NDIS device driver interface. The
virtual packet driver can also be installed manually under
Windows 3.11, as per its installation instructions. Using this
packet driver, it is possible to run clamload, marload and isdnprog
in a DOS window under Windows 95 without the reliability
problems that sometimes occur when running packet drivers as
TSRs under MS-DOS.
Although the software is free, please observe the license
restrictions on commercial redistribution. You may also go to the
Harvard University Web site at http://ndtl.harvard.edu/ndis3pkt/
or http://hsdndev.harvard.edu/ndis3pkt/.
