bcc>sh -s config
The -s modifier here turns scrolling off, and the entire
configuration of the unit is dumped to the screen.
Saving the Configuration
Select all the configuration information and copy it. Open a text
file application (such as Notepad) and paste the data into a blank
file. Save this information. Alternatively, use your terminal
session's own logging facilities to put the information into a text
file.
A configuration file, to avoid confusion, should only be pasted
into a unit that has been returned to its default configuration using
the defcon verb (Appendix A).
The BCC allows you to batch commands into a unit without them
being executed one line at a time. This is an easier way to load
saved configurations into a unit. Two verbs are used with the
batch options, batch (to turn batch mode on) and commit (to end
batch mode and send the new configuration to the unit.
To turn batch mode on, at any prompt type the following:
bcc> batch
Batch mode
bcc>
Pressing enter takes the system into batch mode. All commands
entered are ignored until the commit verb is used.
Open the text file and select all the data (Edit > Select All), then
copy the data into memory (Edit > Copy).
