Safely-monitored transient oscillation (SLS-LT)
To take transient oscillation processes into account, the safety function
"Safely monitored transient oscillation (SLS-LT)", a variant of the safety func-
tion "Safely limited speed (SLS)" is available.
The dual-channel monitoring prevents the drive from exceeding the preset
velocity limit value [P‑0‑3290.x.8 (x=1..16)] for more than a preset time
[P‑0‑3290.x.7 (x=1..16)] for the "Safely-monitored transient oscillation (SLS-LT)
" safety function.

When using the safety function "Safely-monitored tran-
sient oscillation", it must be taken into account that
exceeding the parameterized "Safely-limited speed"
(P‑0‑3290.x.8) might be recognized as a regular transient
oscillation in the case of error. In this case, the error
reaction is only triggered when the Safely-reduced speed
(P‑0‑3290.x.2) has been exceeded. This must be taken
into account in the risk analysis of the machine.

The safety function is intended for safety-relevant applications up to
Category 3, PL d according to EN ISO 13849-1 or up to SIL 2 according
to EN 62061.
The safety function is active if it is parameterized for the special operation
upon selection "Safe motion SMMx" (P‑0‑3290.x.1 with "x"=1-16 for SMM1-
SMM16).
During commissioning, parameterize the following:
– the velocity threshold(s) [P‑0‑3290.x.2],
– the safely reduced speed [P‑0‑3290.x.8] and
– the tolerance time(s) for oscillation of the safely reduced speed
[P‑0‑3290.x.7]
The safely reduced speed (P‑0‑3290.x.8) has to be smaller than the parame-
terized speed threshold in the selected special operation (P‑0‑3290.x.2).
The parameterizations are password-protected after activation of the safety
technology (P‑0‑3230.0.1) and cannot be changed by unauthorized persons.
(P‑0‑3230 contains the status of the safety technology password).
The safety functions are selected via the active "SafeMotion" profile
(P‑0‑3264).
For example, the 16 different Safe motions (SMM) with the corresponding
directions can be selected via the SMMx signals 1 to 16 (A_SMMx, x=1..16)
in the SafeMotion profile Bosch Rexroth.
The status parameter (P‑0‑3264.0.1, bit 6) indicates if the safety function is
activated.
