Serial commissioning
It has to be ensured with organizational measures that the drive address and/or
IP address at the drive controller has been set correctly. This is the prerequisite
for automated commissioning. The following steps are to be carried out for the
automated serial commissioning:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

Load SMO default values (for details see
"Load SMO default values" can be executed using a higher-level control. To
do so, proceed as follows:
● Enter
the
active
SMO: Password".
⇒ Safe Motion is in password level "3" (P‑0‑3230).
● In "P-0-4090, Configuration for loading default values", enter the value
"5"
● Start the command "C0720 SMO: Load defaults procedure command"
via parameter "S‑0‑0262, C07_x Load defaults procedure command" .
⇒ Safe Motion is reset to default values.
Load the parameter backup of the pattern axis to the series axis.
Activate
the
parameter
SMO: Activate parameter image command" (P‑0‑3231.0.3).
Execute
the
SMO: Activate configuration mode procedure command" (P‑0‑3231.0.1).
Enter the identification data in the parameters of the automatic commis-
sioning.
Enter
the
new
axis
SMO: Proposed axis identifier, auto commissioning".
Set "P‑0‑3235.0.4, SMO: Axis identification: Control word", Bit 2 to 1.
Apply with command "C8500 SMO: Apply identification data command"
(P-0-3235.0.3) and apply the values written in item 6 to the axis.
Execute
the
SMO: Terminate configuration mode command" (P‑0‑3231.0.2).
Verify the identification data of the automated commissioning as
described below.
Due to the omitted assignment of the SMO axis identifier and the address
for the Safety bus communication via ctrlX DRIVE Engineering, if appli-
cable, the identification data have to be verified in a separate step. The
verification is to ensure the following aspects:
● The correct parameters have been loaded to the axis.
● The identification data have been correctly assigned to the axis.
In a Safe Motion report for the automated commissioning, the following
information is to be checked and compared to the specifications:
● P‑0‑3234.0.4, SMO: Parameterization checksum
● P‑0‑3234.0.1, SMO: Configuration checksum
● P‑0‑3235.0.2, SMO: Proposed axis identifier
● P‑0‑3235.0.1, SMO: Active axis ID
● P‑0‑3350, FSoE slave address
Via parameter "P‑0‑3235.0.2, SMO: Proposed axis identifier" and the two
checksums (P-0-3234.0.1, P-0-3234.0.4), it is possible to prove after the
automated serial commissioning that the correct SMO image has been
loaded to the axis.
Parameter "P‑0‑3235.0.2, SMO: Proposed axis identifier" still contains
the value from the pattern axis.
