Safe direction (SDI)

The safety function "Safe direction" ensures that motion is only possible in one
direction.
Features
The safety function "Safe direction" has the following features:
● Required optional safety technology module: The safety function can be
● Maximum safety level:
● Notes on parameterization:

It can be checked in the control if the actual velocity is within the defined
velocity window (P‑0‑3237, bit 5).
toring thresholds, an adjustable hysteresis (P‑0‑3255) is taken into consider-
ation before P‑0‑3237, bit 5 is set during the transition of the velocity from
outside the velocity window to inside the velocity window.
Velocity threshold for safe standstill
lower velocity window threshold
upper velocity window threshold
used in drive systems equipped with the optional safety technology module
"Mx".
The safety function is intended for safety-relevant applications up to
Category 3, PL d according to EN ISO 13849-1 or up to SIL 2 according
to EN 62061.
The safe direction (released direction of motion) has to be individually para-
meterized for normal operation and special mode. A tolerated motion in a
non-released direction of motion can be specified by the standstill window
(P‑0‑3270.0.3).
The safety function Safe direction is active in normal operation, if it has
been parameterized for this mode (P‑0‑3277.0.1).
