HANDLING NOTES

WARNING
This shock absorber contains highly pres-
surized nitrogen gas. Read and understand
the following information before handling
the shock absorber. The manufacturer can-
not be held responsible for property dam-
age or personal injury that may result from
improper handling.
Do not tamper with or attempt to open
the cylinder assembly.
Do not subject shock absorber to an open
flame or other high heat source. This may
cause the unit to explode due to exces-
sive gas pressure.
Do not deform or damage the cylinder in
any way. Cylinder damage will result in
poor damping performance.
Take care not to scratch the contact sur-
face of the piston rod with the cylinder; or
oil could leak out.
When scrapping the shock absorber, refer
to "NOTES ON DISPOSAL".

NOTES ON DISPOSAL

*********************************
Shock absorber disposal steps:
Gas pressure must be released before dis-
posing of the shock absorber assembly. To
do so, drill a 2 ~ 3 mm (0.08 ~ 0.12 in) hole
through the gas cylinder at a point 15 ~ 20
mm (0.6 ~ 0.8 in) from the end or the gas
cylinder case.
WARNING
Wear eye protection to prevent eye dam-
age from escaping gas and/or metal chips.
