INSPECTION AND REPAIR

Reassembling point:
Press the 2nd pinion gear 1 in the main
axle 2 as shown.
*********************************
7.Inspect:
Shift shaft 1 1
Shift shaft 2 2
Stopper lever 3
Torsion spring 4
Cracks/damage → Replace.
8.Inspect:
Shift lever 1
Torsion spring 2
Cracks/damage → Replace.

OIL PUMP AND STRAINER

1.Measure:
Tip clearance a
(between inner rotor 1 and outer rotor 2)
Side clearance b
(between outer rotor 2 and pump hous-
ing 3)
Out of specification → Replace the oil
pump.
Tip clearance:
0.15 mm (0.006 in)
Side clearance:
0.10 ~ 0.15 mm (0.004 ~ 0.006 in)
