3.Starter motor
Connect the battery positive terminal 1
and starter motor cable 2 using a
jumper lead 3*.
Check the starter motor for operation.

4.Starter relay
Disconnect the starter relay coupler
from the wireharness.
Connect the starter relay lead "Red/
White" 1 to the battery positive termi-
nal using the jumper lead 2.
Ground the starter relay lead "Blue/White"
3 to the frame using the jumper lead 2.
Check the starter motor for operation.

A wire for jumper lead must have the
equivalent capacity as that of the battery
lead or more, otherwise it may cause the
jumper lead to be burned.
This check is likely to produce sparks, so
be sure that no flammable gas or fluid is
in the vicinity.
