9.Pickup coil resistance
Disconnect the pickup coil coupler from
the wireharness.
Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 100) to
the pickup coil terminal.
Tester (+) lead → White/Red 1
Tester (–) lead → White/Blue 2
Check the pickup coil for specified resis-
tance.
Pickup coil resistance:
190 ~ 230 Ω at 20 °C (68 °F)

10.Wiring connection
Check the entire ignition system for con-
nections.
Refer to "WIRING DIAGRAM".
Replace the CDI unit.
