ENGINE DISASSEMBLY
2.Check:
Valve sealing
Leakage at valve seat → Inspect the valve
face, valve seat and valve seat width.
Refer to "INSPECTION AND REPAIR-
VALVE SEAT".

Checking steps:
Pour a clean solvent 1 into the intake and
exhaust ports.
Check the valve sealing.
There should be no leakage at the valve
seat 2.

3.Remove:
Valve cotters 1
NOTE:
Remove the valve cotters while compress-
ing the valve spring with the valve spring
compressor 2.
Valve spring compressor:
P/N. YM-04019
4.Remove:
Valve retainer 1
Oil seal 2
Valve spring 3
Spring seat 4
Valve 5
NOTE:
Identify each part position very carefully so
that it can be reinstalled in its original place.
