Dogs on the primary driven gear 1
Scoring/wear/damage → Deburr or replace.
Clutch boss splines 2
Scoring/wear/damage
clutch boss.
NOTE:
Scoring on the clutch housing dogs and the
clutch boss splines will cause erratic opera-
tion.
8.Check:
Circumferential play
Free play exists → Replace.
9.Inspect:
Pressure plate 1
Push plate 2
Push rod 1 3
O-ring 4
Ball 5
Push rod 2 6
Push lever 7
Wear/bend/damage → Replace.

1.Inspect:
Shift fork cam follower 1
Shift fork pawl 2
Scoring/bends/wear → Replace.
