Chapter 11: Maintaining the SRX5400 Services Gateway Hardware Components
up to 3 SPCs and MPCs mounted horizontally in the card cage at the front of the chassis.
To maintain SPCs and MPCs, perform the following procedures regularly.
On a regular basis:
Check the LEDs on the craft interface corresponding to each SPC and MPC slot. The
green LED labeled
OK
lights steadily when an SPC or MPC is functioning normally.
Check the
LED on the faceplate of each SPC and MPC. If the SPC or MPC
OK/FAIL
detects a failure, it sends an alarm message to the Routing Engine.
Issue the CLI
show chassis fpc
MPCs. As shown in the sample output, the value Online in the column labeled State
indicates that the SPC or MPC is functioning normally:
