Before lifting the machine with a jack, review and follow
Instructions (page
1–6). Do not support the machine on the rear
wheel hubs (brake rotors).
3. Lift the rear wheel with a jack and use appropriate jack stands to support
the machine.
4. Remove the 5 wheel-lug nuts and 5 wheel studs that attach the rear wheel to
the wheel hub, and remove the rear wheel.
1. Install the wheel to the machine with the 5 wheel-lug nuts and 5 wheel studs.
2. Lower the wheel to the ground and torque the wheel-lug nuts to 102 to 115
N∙m (75 to 85 ft-lb) in a star-like pattern.
