POWER STEERING VANE PUMP (1GR-FE)
INSTALL DRIVE BELT
While turning the belt tensioner counterclockwise, align
the holes, and then insert a bar of 6 mm (0.24 in.) into the
holes to fix the belt tensioner.
Install the drive belt.
While turning the belt tensioner counterclockwise, re-
move the bar.
If it is hard to install the drive belt, perform the following
procedure:
(1)
Wrap the drive belt around all the pulleys and idlers,
except for the vane pump assembly, as shown in
the illustration.
(2)
While releasing belt tension by turning the belt ten-
sioner counterclockwise, wrap the drive belt around
the vane pump assembly.
ADD POWER STEERING FLUID
BLEED POWER STEERING FLUID
INSPECT FLUID LEAK
INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
