8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the second injector if it
was removed.
9. Install the injector hold-down nuts and tighten in
four steps to 2.0 kg-m (14.5 ft-lb) in 0.5 kg-m (3.6
ft-lb) increments.
10. Rotate the engine clockwise to compress the injec-
tor push rod sufficiently to remove the hardened
pin; then repeat for the second injector.
11. Install the injection control rack by first engaging
the governor linkage sleeve; then secure to the
injection pump fuel controls with the pivot screws.
Tighten to specifications.

12. Install the fuel spring.
AT THIS POINT
If injectors were serviced, static injector timing must
be set (see Top-Side Components in this section).
13. Using new O-rings, install the fuel rail and secure
with four Allen-head machine screws. Tighten to
specifications.
