3. Remove the snap ring; then remove the input shaft
from the pinion housing.
4. Using a seal removal tool, remove the input shaft
seal. Account for a spacer.

5. Remove the snap ring securing the input shaft
bearing; then place the pinion housing in a press
and remove the bearing.
Assembling Input Shaft
1. Place the pinion housing in a press and install the
input shaft bearing. Secure the bearing with the
existing snap ring making sure the sharp edge of
the snap ring faces to the outside.
