Semicuscinetti
È buona norma sostituire i
semicuscinetti ad ogni revisione o
comunque secondo gli intervalli
prescritti nella tabelle delle
manutenzioni periodiche riportata
nella sezione B.
I semicuscinetti nuovi vengono
forniti già pronti per il montaggio e
non devono essere ritoccati con
raschietti o tela smeriglio.
Appartengono a sei classi
dimensionali identificabile ciascuna
da un colore (GIALLO, ROSSO,
ROSSO-NERO, BLU-NERO, NERO,
BLU).

Installazione cuscinetti
I semicuscinetti, e quindi il loro
alloggiamento nella testa di biella,
sono dotati di due dentini per tenerli
in posizione.
Attenzione
La bronzina è dotata di due
denti. Il verso di montaggio è
indifferente.
Appoggiare il semicuscinetto sulla
testa o sul cappello di biella in modo
che la sporgenza delle estremità
rispetto alla superficie di unione
risulti equidistante.
Verificare anche che risulti
centrato assialmente nella testa o
nel cappello di biella.
Con le dita spingere il
semicuscinetto in sede facendo
pressione (F) sulla mezzeria del
cuscinetto.
Eliminare eventuali bave che
possono formarsi nello sfregamento
dell'estremità del cuscinetto con lo
spigolo della sede sulla biella.
Attenzione
Verificare che esista
comunque un po' di gioco (A), tra il
dente del semicuscinetto e il vano
del dente su bronzina (o sul
cappello), onde evitare che il dente
allontani il semicuscinetto dalla
biella (o dal cappello).
Connecting rod bearings
Change the bearings every time the
engine is overhauled or at regular
intervals as specified in the
maintenance schedule table of
Section B.
Spare bearings are supplied ready
for fitting. They must not be
reworked with scrapers or emery
cloth.
These bearings can belong to six
different size classes identified by
different colors (YELLOW, RED,
RED-BLACK, BLUE-BLACK, BLACK,
BLUE).

Assembling the bearings
Bearings, as well as their location
inside con-rod big end, are provided
with two small teeth holding them
in place.
Warning
The con-rod bearing features
two small teeth. It does not matter
in which direction you fit it.
Put the bearing onto the
connecting rod big end or cap so
that an equal portion of bearing
protrudes over the big end on either
side.
Make sure it is properly centered
with the big end or cap axis.
Press onto the bearing axis (F)
with your fingers and seat it
properly.
Remove any burrs due to bearing
edge friction against the seat on the
con-rod.
Warning
Check that between bearing
tooth and tooth location on
the bearing shell (or cap) there is
some clearance (A) in order to avoid
that bearing is not moved away from
connecting rod (or cap) by the tooth.
