The printer energizes the process axis and y-axis motors eight times at
different current levels to determine at which point they stall, these
values are stored in NVRAM and are used to determine when
abnormal events occur, such as double-picks or jams that stall the
motors.
6.
The printhead is tilted back to the standby position.
7.
The front panel displays a warm up message.
8.
The heaters are enabled and the drum begins to rotate.
9.
After the printhead reaches a molten-ink temperature, the
cap/wipe/purge assembly is positioned to the purge position.
10. The printhead tilts forward and a purge cycle begins.
11. A flush page is printed.
12. The front panel displays a message that the printer is initializing and
then ready.
The print engine is initialized.
