18. Right side. Remove the drum heater fan assembly by removing the
three screws securing the drum heater bracket to the printer frame.
19. Remove the drum gear by removing the four screws securing it to the
drum end.
20. Remove the Y-axis belt drive assembly and its belts. If necessary, refer
to the previous procedure, "Y-axis belt drive assembly" on page 8-16.
21. Disconnect the wiring leading to I/O board 3. Remove the three
screws securing the board in place and remove the board.
22. Disconnect the Y-motor wiring harness from J15 of the power control
board. Free the wiring harness from it cable retainers.
23. Remove the exit roller gear train; it is held onto the exit roller shaft by
two E-clips. Note the position of the two flat washers under the
E-clip. Also note how the gear train assembly is spring loaded to the
engine frame.
24. Remove the shoulder screw securing the right side of the drum
assembly to the print engine.
25. Remove the five rubber-tipped cover support bolts that also secure the
right side of the drum assembly to the print engine. Carefully remove
the rubber tips of the supports before removing the support bolts
using the standoff support removal tool.
26. Remove the right-side exit cover spring assembly. It is held in place
with two screws.
27. Carefully, lift and remove the drum assembly. Protect the drum
surface.
