    Printer Configuration 1-1. Overview The Tektronix Phaser 350 color printer (hereafter known as a Phaser 350) can be used to print screencopies and text files (such as reports, reviews, and UNIX files). The Phaser 350 printer can be connected to a system network through an Ethernet, or directly to a WEStation through the WEStation’s parallel port.

    1. Optional Ethernet internal hardware (a PhaserShare card) must be installed in the Phaser 350 printer before it can be used on an Ethernet. If a PhaserShare card is installed in the printer, the interface shown in Figure 1-1 will be visible on the back of your printer.

    1-2. Using an Ethernet Connection 1-2.2. Configure Printer (8.5 Level Systems and Later) This section provides instructions for configuring the printer so that WEStation software can print to it. 1. Use the WDPF or Ovation Admin Tool to define the desired printers for the Printer Manager.
