delete ipv6 neighbor_cache
Purpose
Delete a neighbor cache entry or static neighbor cache entries from the address cache or all
address cache entries on this IP interface.
Syntax
delete ipv6 neighbor_cache ipif [<ipif_name 12> | all] [<ipv6addr> | static | dynamic |
all]
Description
Both static and dynamic entries can be deleted.
Parameters
ipif - Specifies the IPv6 interface name.
<ipif_name 12> - Enter the IP interface name here. This name can be up to 12 characters
long.
all - Specifies that all the interfaces will be used in this configuration.
<ipv6addr> - The neighbor's address.
static - Delete the static entry.
dynamic - Delete those dynamic entries.
all - All entries include static and dynamic entries will be deleted.
Restrictions
Only Administrator, Operator and Power User-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
Delete a neighbor cache.entry on IP interface "System":
DES-3528:admin#
Command: delete ipv6 neighbor_cache ipif System 3FFC::1
Success.
DES-3528:admin#
show ipv6 neighbor_cache
Purpose
Display the neighbor cache entry for the specified interface.
Syntax
show ipv6 neighbor_cache ipif [<ipif_name 12> | all] [ipv6address <ipv6addr> | static |
dynamic | all] {hardware}
Description
You can display a specific entry, all entries, or all static entries.
Parameters
ipif - Specifies the IPv6 interface name
<ipif_name 12> - Enter the IP interface name here. This name can be up to 12 characters
long.
all - Specifies that all the interface will be displayed.
ipv6address - The neighbor's address.
<ipv6addr> - Enter the IPv6 address here.
static - Static neighbor cache entry.
dynamic - Dynamic entries.
all - All entries include static and dynamic entries.
hardware - (Optional) The neighbor cache entry which is wrote into hardware table.
Restrictions
None.
Example usage:
Show all neighbor cache entries of IP interface "System":
delete ipv6 neighbor_cache ipif System 3ffc::1
