    Install the Switch on a sturdy, level surface that can support at least 6.6 lbs (3 kg) of weight for DES- 3528/DES-3528DC, at least 13.2 lbs (6 kg) of weight for DES-3552/DES-3528P, at least 15.4 lbs (7 kg) of weight for DES-3552P. Do not place heavy objects on the Switch.

Attach these cushioning feet on the bottom at each corner of the device. Allow enough ventilation space between the Switch and any other objects in the vicinity.

The IP address for the Switch must be set before it can be managed with the Web-based manager. The Switch IP address can be automatically set using BOOTP or DHCP protocols, in which case the actual address assigned to the Switch must be known.
