In the Dial String field, enter the telephone number for the peer.

In the Technology field, use the pull-down menu to select one of the

In the Busy Out Threshold field, enter the number of times that the router
should try to make this connection. If you leave the default setting of 0,
the router makes an unlimited number of attempts.

Click the Apply button to save your changes.
Configuring a Static Route or a Floating Static Route
The ProCurve Secure Router must know the route to the far-end network that
is connected through the demand interface. If you are configuring a primary
connection, you will configure a static route. If you are configuring a backup
connection, you will configure a floating static route.
To configure a static route or a floating static route, complete the following
steps:

Click Route Table in the Router/Bridge section of the navigation bar.
The Add a Static Route to the Route Table screen is displayed.
