Activating the Interface
All interfaces on the ProCurve Secure Router are administratively down by
default and must be activated. From the E1 interface configuration mode
context, enter:
ProCurve(config-e1 1/2)# no shut
Checking the Status of the G.703 Interface
After you assign the correct number of channels to each interface and then
configure the G.703 interface, the connection between the G.703 port and your
PBX should come up. You can use the show commands listed in Table 9-2 to
view both the status and the configuration information for the G.703 interface.

For example, to check the status of the G.703 interface, enter:
ProCurve# show interfaces e1 <slot>/2
If you are not in the enable mode context, you can use the do command
and enter:
Syntax: do show interfaces e1 <slot>/2
Explanation

interfaces—active or inactive—on the
ProCurve Secure Router
displays information about a specific physical
