■ Preparation
D Turning power ON/OFF from the appli-
cation
q Boot up Wndows.
w Start the ID-1 applcaton by double clckng the con on
the desktop, or select "ID-1" n the program menu.
• ID-1 man screen appears and "COM Port Error" may be ds-
played for 1st tme as below.
e Clck [Port Setup].
• COM Port Setup dalog box appears.

BASIC OPERATION

r Enter the approprate COM port number from the PC's
keyboard wthn 1–256 range, then clck [Apply].
• See pages 28, 29 for how to confirm the COM port number.
• The transcever power comes up and the default frequency wll
be dsplayed on the man screen when the correct port number
s entered.
• Once the COM port s set, ths operaton wll not be necessary.
• When usng multple rados wth the same Laptop, changng
the COM Port number wll be requred each tme a new rado s
connected to the computer.

port number
(within 1–256)
Click
t Clck [POWER] to turn the power OFF.
• The transcever power can also be turned OFF by pushng
[POWER] on the ID-1 front panel.
