■ General

The ID-1 allows you to not only for the voce communcatons
but also the data communcatons wth Data mode.
The data communcaton functons as a wreless LAN unt
wth up to 128 kbps (theoretcal value) of data transmsson
speed. Any data files can be coped to the connected PC.
Internet accessng* s also provded wth Data mode opera-
ton when gateway connecton s used.
*Contract wth a gateway repeater manager s addtonally requred.

DATA OPERATION

The saved file(s) n the shared folder may
be modfied or deleted, or unknown file(s) may be coped nto
the shared folder from the connected staton when the trans-
msson nhbt s released.
Icom Inc. assume no responsblty whatsoever for any dam-
ages or lost profits resultng from opportuntes for sgnal com-
muncatons beng lost because of the falure, malfuncton,
poor condton, damage, or data loss of ths unt or because
of such external causes as power falure. Icom also dsmsses
all responsblty for demands made by a thrd party.
The transmttng data may be receved and decrypted by a
thrd party/staton due to the ID-1 transmts data wthout en-
crypton.
Connect the ID-1 and PC va Ethernet cable for Data mode
operaton n advance. (see p. 17)
Dsconnect the PC from any other network, another ISP,
LAN, etc., s recommended. Network error may be occurred.
For data transferrng (PC-to-PC communcaton), a fixed IP
address must be assgned, the same workgroup settng and
have shared folder must be held for both PCs.
Make sure the Ethernet cable, as well as the coupler connec-
tons are secure. Loose connectons may cause a data trans-
msson error durng Data operaton.
