■ Low-speed data communication
In addton to the data communcaton, a low-speed data com-
muncaton capablty s avalable.
Low-speed data communcatons requre narrow passband
wdth, thus dgtal voce mode s used and provdes a smulta-
neous operaton wth voce and data.
q Set the desred frequency.
w Select DV (Dgtal voce) mode.
• Clck [MODE] on the man screen or push [MODE] on the RC-
24.
e Set another settngs, such as repeater, dgtal code
squelch, transmt output power.
r Clck "
" or select "Ext(X)" n Fle menu to qut the appl-
caton.
NOTE: The applcaton must be qut durng low-speed data
operaton. The applcaton and a low-speed data commu-
ncaton software cannot be operated smultaneously, due
to both of data passng through the ID-1 USB port.
t Start up the low-speed data communcaton applcaton.
y Set the applcaton as follows.
• Port
: The same COM port number as ID-1's
• Baud rate
: 19200 bps
• Data
: 8 bt
• Party
: None
• Stop
: 1 bt
• Flow control : Xon/Xoff
u Push and hold [PTT] to transmt, release to receve the
data.
• Refer to the nstructon of the applcaton that how to send or re-
ceve data.
NOTE:
• A communcaton error may occur dependng on the com-
bnaton of the OS used, and the low-speed data commu-
ncaton applcaton nstalled n your PC.
• "Packet-loss" (loosng a part of data) may occur when
communcatng through nternet network. When "Packet-
loss" occurs, [TX/RX] ndcator lghts orange.
• ASCII code's characters are only usable.
