POCKET BEEP AND TONE/DIGITAL SQUELCH

■ Pocket beep operation

Ths functon uses subaudble tones n FM; dgtal code or
call sgn n Dgtal voce mode for callng and can be used
as a "common pager" to nform you that someone has called
whle you were away from the transcever.
In addton, f the receved sgnal ncludes matched dgtal
code, any calls, even a CQ call, can be receved when usng
the pocket beep functon wth dgtal code. However, when
usng the call sgn squelch for the pocket beep, the sgnal
that contanng your call sgn (when another staton callng
you) can only be receved.
D Setting from the application
q Set the desred operatng frequency and mode (FM or
Dgtal voce).
• Using the CTCSS — in FM mode
w Dsplays the Set Mode screen.
- Select "Edt Set Mode(C)..." n Vew menu.
- Clck " " n tool bar.
- Press [F7] key on the PC keyboard.
e Double clck the "CTCSS Tone" cell, then select the de-
sred tone frequency.
r Clck [TONE]

- The transcever emts beep tones.
- Shows "PBEEP" and "
PBEEP
y Push [PTT] to answer.
• The pocket beep functon s cancelled and the tone squelch or
dgtal code squelch operaton s selected automatcally.
• "TSQL" ndcaton appears nstead of "PBEEP."
u Clck [TONE] once to cancel the tone squelch functon.
• "TSQL" ndcaton dsappears.
