Hint!
When usng the gateway connecton capabltes, the D-STAR
system repeater automatcally searches for the nearest re-
peater from the desred staton that you want to call even
when you don't know the desred staton s n whch Area or
Zone.
How to make a CQ call to another Zone?
When you want to make a CQ call to another Zone, set the
call sgns as follows.
e.g.: Another Zone's repeater call sgn= xx0xxx,
the nearest repeater call sgn= xx1xxx
the gateway repeater call sgn= xx2xxx
q Enter "/xx0xxx" nto "YOUR" (or "UR" n RC-24).
w Enter "xx1xxx" nto "RPT1" (or "RPT1" n RC-24).
e Enter "xx2xxx_G" nto "RPT2" (or "RPT2" n RC-24).
* Some repeater system requres the "G" settng wth clckng [G]
n "Select Call Sgn" screen or pushng [ ] for 0.5 sec. on RC-
24).
REPEATER OPERATION— VOICE
For practical digital repeater operation
When usng a dgtal repeater n dgtal voce mode, the trans-
msson must be performed after the repeater sgnal dsap-
pears completely. Otherwse the communcaton error may
occur.
NOTE: The requred call sgn settngs may dffer accordng
to the repeater system (Area or Zone). Ask the repeater
system manager for settng detals.
