■ Tone/Digital code/call sign squelch operation
The tone, dgtal code or call sgn squelch opens only when
recevng a sgnal wth the same pre-programmed subaudble
tone, dgtal code or call sgn, respectvely.
D Setting from the application
q Set the desred operatng frequency and mode (FM or
Dgtal voce).
• Using the CTCSS — in FM mode
w Dsplays the Set Mode screen.
- Select "Edt Set Mode(C)..." n Vew menu.
- Clck " " n tool bar.
- Press [F7] key on the PC keyboard.
e Double clck the "CTCSS Tone" cell, then select the de-
sred tone frequency.

r Clck [TONE] once or twce untl "TSQL" appears to turn
t When a sgnal wth matched tone sgnal s receved the
y Push [PTT] to answer.
u Clck [TONE] once to cancel the tone squelch functon.
Double click, then
select the desired
tone frequency.
the tone squelch functon ON.
squelch opens and the sgnal can be heard.
• When the receved sgnal ncludes an unmatched tone, the
squelch does not open. However, the S/RF ndcator shows the
receved sgnal strength.
• "TSQL" ndcaton dsappears.
