TRANSMIT AND RECEIVE— VOICE
■ Monitor function
The montor functon releases all squelch mutes, nose
squelch, tone squelch, dgtal code squelch and dgtal
call sgn squelch, to montor the sgnal on the dsplayed
frequency.
➥ Clck [MONI] n the applcaton (man screen); or push and
hold [SQL] on the RC-24 to actvate the montor functon.
• "MONI" and " BUSY
DV and DD mode operaton when the functon ON. (man
screen)
• " " appears on the RC-24 functon dsplay whle holdng [SQL]
for FM operaton.
• The dsplayed frequency shfts when duplex (RP– or RP+) s set.

D Monitoring mode selection
Under normal settngs, an FM mode sgnal cannot be heard,
even when the montor s turned ON. There s an excepton,
and ths s when you have the Dgtal montor set to the
Analog mode. Ths wll allow an FM mode sgnal to "Break-n"
durng dgtal communcatons.
• Setting from the application
q Dsplays set mode screen by performng one of the follow-
ng operatons.
- Select "Edt SetMode(C)..." n vew menu.
- Clck " " button n tool bar.
- Clck [SET].
- Press [F7] key on the PC keyboard.
w Double clck "Dgtal Montor" cell, then select the desred
montorng mode from "DIGITAL" and "ANALOG."
• ANALOG: FM mode, DIGITAL: Dgtal
• To close the screen, clck " " or repeat the operaton as step q.
Double click the Digital.
