OPERATION
Problem
The digging depth is shallower or
deeper than the set digging depth.
The blade is not in parallel with the
design surface.
The angle of the blade does not be-
come parallel to the design surface.
*: Since the blade automatic control has a function that performs digging and carrying operations smoothly, it
can make the dug terrain smooth. Therefore, the digging depth may not match the set digging depth. The blade
automatic control is not suitable if you want to leave unevenness of extreme terrain as it is.
BLADE LOAD MODE SETTINGS
(In cutting mode or spreading mode)
Set the blade load mode depending on the type of soil and operation at jobsite.
Each time "Blade load selection" is pressed, 3 modes switches
in order.
Main cause
Incorrect input of wear amount
Terrain information which is more
than 100 m away is reset.
There is extreme unevenness on the
current surface.
Operate the blade control lever while
the blade automatic control is in oper-
ation.
The angular change of the design
surface is large.
"Light" is selected in the blade load
mode.
Smooth start is enabled.
Operate the blade control lever while
the blade automatic control is in oper-
ation.
The current surface and the height of
the design surface are too far apart.
MACHINE OPERATIONS AND CONTROLS
Remedy
Input wear amount correctly. For de-
tails, see "METHOD FOR INPUT-
TING WEAR AMOUNT OF BLADE
EDGE AND TRACK SHOE".
Travel the machine on the jobsite to
obtain terrain information again.
Disable the blade automatic control,
and operate the blade with the blade
control lever. (*)
Stop operating the blade control lev-
er.
Select "Simple Grading".
Change the blade load mode to "Nor-
mal" or "Heavy".
Disable the smooth start.
Set the joystick (steering, directional
and gear shift lever) to NEUTRAL po-
sition (N).
Stop operating the blade control lev-
er.
Offset the design surface so that the
cut/fill amount displayed on the con-
trol box is 2 m or less. For details of
offset method of the design surface,
see "METHOD FOR ADJUSTING
CUT/FILL OFFSETS".
