Quilting is the process of sewing the top layer of fabric, with quilting cotton in between and a bottom layer of fabric underneath.
By using the walking foot, the machine feeds both top and bottom fabrics together at the same time, so fabric shifting is eliminated.
Quilten nennt man das Verfahren, bei dem drei Stofflagen zusammengenäht werden: Oberstoff, Quiltvlies und Unterstoff.
Mit dem Walking-Nähfuß werden Ober- und Unterstoff völlig gleichmäßig bewegt, sodass die Stofflagen nicht verrutschen können.
Quilten is het proces van de bovenste laag van de stof, quiltkatoen en onderste laag van de stof samen naaien.
Door het gebruik van de boventransportvoet, waarbij de bovenste laag en de onderste laag evenredig getransporteerd worden, wordt het
verschuiven van de stof voorkomen.

Put top layer of fabric with patchwork and/or appliqué, quilting
cotton and bottom fabric together by using pin or basting
stitches.
Heften Sie die obere Stofflage mit dem Patchwork und/oder den
Applikationen mit Heftstichen oder Nadeln auf das Vlies und die
untere Stofflage.
