11.2 - Use and Maintenance

1. To turn off the hard disk recorder, first turn off the system on the software GUI, and then turn off
the power supply. Do not turn off the power supply directly to avoid data loss or even damage
of the hard disk.
2. Ensure that the hard disk recorder is far away from the places with high temperature heat
sources.
3. Regularly remove the dust deposited inside the device, and keep good ventilation around the
case of the hard disk recorder to facilitate heat dissipation.
4. Do not hot-plug the audio and video signal cables and interfaces such as RS-232 and RS-485;
otherwise, such interfaces may be damaged.
5. Regularly check the power cable and data cable inside the device to prevent them from aging.
6. Try to avoid the impact of other electric appliances on audio and video signals, and prevent the
hard disk from being damaged by static electricity or induced voltage.
If the interface connecting the network cable is frequently plugged in and pulled out, it is
recommended that you replace the connection cable regularly to avoid unstable input signals.
7. he device is a Class-A product. In the living environment, the product may cause radio
interference. In such cases, practical measures should be taken to cope with the interference.
