6.1.3. HUM Modulation

Hum modulation is a power source frequency interference. It creates a visible
distortion in the television picture. The S7200 measures hum modulation
interference for analog and digital channels. The analog measurement screen is
shown below.
The low frequency interference and interference harmonic will disrupt the analog
TV signal, the hightest measurable fourth harmonic of the S7200 are :
- 50Hz, 100Hz, 150Hz and 200Hz in 50Hz,
- 60Hz, 120Hz, 180Hz and 240Hz in 60Hz.
