Warning! If not avoided, the following could result in death or serious injury.
Do not open the lamp door while the lamp is on.
EXPLOSION HAZARD! Always wear manufacturer approved protective safety clothing (gloves,
jacket, face shield) whenever the lamp door is open or when handling the lamp. Any local or
federal specifications take precedence over Christie's protective clothing recommendations.
EXPLOSION HAZARD! Allow sufficient time for the lamp to cool down before powering down the
product, disconnecting it from AC, and opening the lamp door.
EXPLOSION HAZARD! Do not stress the glass of a lamp or bare bulb in any way.
Caution! If not avoided, the following could result in minor or moderate injury.
Improper installation of the lamp can damage the projector.
1. Prepare the projector for service.
a) Turn the lamp and projector off.
b) Allow the projector to cool for a minimum of 15 minutes.
c) Disconnect the projector from AC power.
2. Put on your protective clothing and face shield.
3. Unlock and open the lamp door.
Release the tethered latch mechanism to remove the door entirely.
4. Remove the old lamp and inspect the reflector.
a) Remove the front lamp duct to reveal the cathode end (-) of the lamp.
b) Loosen the screw (left arrow in the image below) securing the anode connector.
