Red and green FPGA cooling blowers for
CP4420-Xe
Learn how to replace the red and green FPGA cooling blowers.
Only applies to: CP4420-Xe
1. Remove the light engine fan pack (on page 67).
2. Disconnect the harness (FAN 5 RED or FAN 4 GREEN).
3. Unroute the red harness from the clip.
4. Loosen the screw for the affected blower.
5. Remove the screws securing the blower to the bracket.
6. Remove and replace the affected blower.
7. To remove the other blower, repeat steps 2 to 5.
8. To re-install, follow these steps in reverse order.

Liquid cooling module with pump module

The liquid cooling module comprises a reservoir and pump assembly with dedicated cooling tubes that
are routed to the three DMDs on the light engine. Quick-disconnect, dripless connectors are used on
the tubing for easy, no-mess servicing of this assembly.
1. Remove the front top cover (on page 50).
2. Remove the high-security cover (on page 51).
3. Disconnect the two quick disconnect hoses: one from the radiator and one from the light
engine closest to the rear of the projector.
