Caution! If not avoided, the following could result in minor or moderate injury.
UV EXPOSURE! Protective UV safety glasses with side shields and Christie approved protective
safety clothing must be worn when performing optical adjustments or servicing the product.
1. Display a full white field.
2. Loosen the integrator assembly so it can be manually moved.
3. Adjust the focus.
Corners should be equal in focus, although they may appear slightly blurry. As necessary,
move the integrator forward or backward along its axis for an equal level of focus in all
corners. For best results, double-check the perimeter shadows with a full black field.
4. Center the white field.
Confirm all shadowy edges cast by the integrator are projected off the screen, with the white
field fully visible and centered between shadows. If necessary, use the fold mirror adjustment
screws to precisely direct the white field between all edge shadows. Centering signifies the
rectangle of light passed from the integrator completely illuminates the DMDs.

Adjusting the lamp position with LampLOC

Configure the lamp position and geometry with LampLOC
or at any other time when the lamp performance needs to be optimized.
Before adjusting LampLOC, make sure the following criteria is met:
The lamp is on during adjustment.
Christie recommends a 10-minute warm-up.
The lamp is installed with the anode yoke in the correct location for the lamp type.
The lamp extension nut is used with CDXL-30SD lamps only. Do not use the lamp extension
nut with other lamp types as it can lead to extremely dim light output.
Perform the LampLOC procedure.
1. In the left navigation menu, select Lamp Settings > LampLOC.
2. Select Auto Align.

Adjusting the lamp position manually

Manually configure the lamp position and geometry when installing a new lamp in the projector or at
any other time when the lamp performance must be optimized.
1. On the graphical user interface or the touch panel controller, select the Home tab.
2. Select Test Pattern and select 17pt White Field Test Point.
3. Mount a light meter on a tripod and center it with the lens.
The distance from the lens does not matter. An attenuator or an internal foil aperture may be
required.
4. In the left navigation menu, select Lamp Settings > LampLOC.
5. Select the directional arrows to adjust the value displayed in the Z field, until the brightness
reading in front of the lens is maximized.
6. Select the directional arrows to adjust the values displayed in the X and Y fields until the
brightness values in each field are maximized.
