The User Interface
6.1
The User Interface at a Glance
The user interface is displayed on the LCD touch screen monitor mounted on the
front of the PathFinder 350S. Navigating the user interface is via the page buttons
located at the top of the screen. Pages can be displayed at any time without
interrupting the work of the Sorter.
There are two access levels for the user interface:
1)
2)
6.2
Remote Access
The user interface can be accessed from any PC on the same network as the
PathFinder 350S. This allows an administrator to change configuration settings, or
generate production reports while the system is running in the laboratory.
The only restriction on remote access is the PathFinder 350S cannot be stopped or
started remotely. This is a safety feature to protect operators that may be working
on the system.
It is recommended that Mozilla Firefox is used to view the user interface
(www.mozilla.com/firefox/). Firefox is a free browser that is well known for its
stability and compatibility.
While the user interface is designed to work with Internet Explorer Versions 6 and 8,
the pages may not display correctly depending on what version of Windows and
which Windows updates have been installed.
